Elephant Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

I have recently created a couple of new patterns for my etsy shop. Today I wanted to share my elephant crochet pattern. Humphrey is fairly easy to make and doesn't take a ton of yarn. I used a light blue yarn made by Red Heart. When he is finished he measures a little under 5 1/2 inches tall. His pattern is available in my etsy store for immediate download after payment. https://www.etsy.com/listing/124339670/crochet-elephant-amigurumi-pattern?

Crochet Cat Doll Oliver

I would like you to meet my newest crochet doll Oliver the cat. He is orange with darker orange stripes that are painted on his body. His eyes are white felt that have been painted a bright apple green color. For his nose and whiskers I used a light pink and black embroidery thread. Oliver is 5 inches tall including his legs; when he is sitting he is just under 3 1/2 inches tall.
Oliver would make a perfect companion for an older child that could play nicely with him. He doesn't make much noise and he doesn't scratch. If anyone is interested you can check him out here at my etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/121400198/crochet-cat-orange-striped-doll?ref=pr_shop

I love websites that bring artists together so they can share their work, and  deviantart is one of those great websites. My newest crochet doll is a baby deer which I am trading with a member from deviantart. ~Monri (her username ) made me an adorable very classy bunny named Beckett. Her crochet dolls are amazing and so cute, here is her  link so you can check out more of her work :http://monri.deviantart.com/

Crochet Guinea Pig Amigurumi

Here is one of my newest mini crochet animals. It is a guinea pig that is less than 3 1/2 inches long. He is all crochet with painted eyes, nose, and mouth. I tried a new technique to make fur, and that was using a comb and going over the yarn. I am pretty happy with how it worked he needed some fuzzy hair to complete his look. Unfortunately this little guinea pig won't be making the adorable squeaking noises of a real one.  I should have him listed in my etsy shop sometime next month. This month has been crazy hand making everyone's Christmas presents, which I plan on posting after they have them. I probably won't be posting again until after Christmas so I wish you all a happy holiday!

Crochet Octopus Pattern

Crochet  Amigurumi Octopus Pattern

Supplies

  • 5mm crochet hook
  • Your color choice of yarn
  • Small buttons or felt
  • Stuffing
  • Yarn Needle
Stitches to know
  • Single Crochet (Sc)
  • Decrease (Sc2tog)
  • Magic Circle
  • Slip Stitch (Sl St)
  • Chain  (Ch)

Starting with the top of the octopuses head you work in rounds to create his whole body. The only part of his body that isn't made in rounds are his tentacles.
Magic Circle (6)
Round 1. 2 Sc in each st around (12)
Rounds 2-4. Sc in each st (12)
Round 5. Sc in 1 st, sc2tog in next st repeat around (8)
At this point stuff his head.
Round 6. Sc in 2, sc2tog in next st repeat around (6)
Round 7. Sc in each st (6)
Round 8. 2 Sc in each st around (12)
Round 9. Sc in 2, 2sc in next st repeat around (16)
Round 10. Chain 9, Sc in 3 chains, 2sc in next 5 chains, sl st in next st in the round, sc in next st and chain 9 again. Repeat this around to make the tentacles, you should end up with eight.

For the whole in the bottom of the octopus I made a magic circle of 4 and used my yarn needle to sew it on. I used really small purple buttons for my octopuses eyes but another option is to use felt. If you plan on giving this to a child the felt is recommended.
If you want to share this pattern please use my link to do so, do not copy and past to your site or blog. Any octopus made from this pattern can be sold.
For questions please leave them in the comments and I will be happy to help, have fun crocheting!
I would love to see your octopus that you make, feel free to post them!

White Horse and Green Monster Crochet Dolls

This week on Etsy I posted two new crochet dolls. The first is a crochet white horse miniature doll. She is only 3 inches tall sitting down. When you include her legs she is 5 inches tall. I have always loved horses so this was the perfect doll for me to crochet. She would bring joy to any horse lovers home, or anyone who loves animals.

The other doll I posted was a little green crochet monster. His name is Gus and he is only a little over 2 inches tall. He is a fun little monster but you have to watch out for his big mouth.
